Weird and Wonderful

Today is the fifth day of the 31 Days of Halloween Challenge and Blog Hop, sponsored by Smeared Ink and the Smeared and Smudged forum!

To see everyone who is participating in the blog hop, follow the blog roll on the right.  If you're following the blog roll, you probably got here from Sue's blog and will want to proceed to Leslie's blog after you've stopped here!

Today I have another card, entitled Weird and Wonderful.

My original concept for this piece was a very simple thought:  "Something weird in a birdcage." This is the ultimate result of that thought!

The details:
  1. Birdcage—digi stamp from the Bird Cages and Mason Jars set from withwildabandon etsy shop
  2. Curly-Legged Freak--from Freaks set by Red Eowyn
  3. Raven with glasses—from Hampton Art Graphic 45 Time Flies set
  4. Cardstock—Paper Accents
  5. Chalks—unknown maker
  6. Spectrum Noir colored pencils
  7. Kimberly General’s watercolor pencils

  1. They are weird and totally awesome! Love how he hangs from the cage and the fussy cutting time had to make your head hurt! Fussy cutting does that to me but I love it anyway! Such fantastic coloring! Fantastic and wonderful!

    1. You know, it's funny, but I love fuss-cutting! Even as a very small child, I loved cutting out intricate things. :)

  2. OOOh, fun and pretty creepy! Looks like it belongs on the show American Horror Story this season. LOVE it! xxD

  3. Very weird indeed! Starting with the Raven's eyeglasses down to the caged thing's feet.
Beautiful shading with the blue background.

  4. Love your "weird" card, great combination of images!

  5. Love your weirdness! Great images and super colors! Love those orange and purple tights-legs! Thanks so much!~kim

  6. Definitely a weird thing in a birdcage! And it's very fabulous! Love your card, the images are amazing! :) x

  7. Weird creature in a cage, doesn't get scarier than that!

  8. My goodness, something so weird in your cage... I think I am going to have some very strange dreams tonight! Great Raven!

  9. Awesome, that's thinking out of the cage. I love the quirky characters. Great project.

  10. Certainly weird! Love the characters and the birdcage!

  11. Well you got the weird part down. I think it is lovely and very well put together.

  12. Well it's definitely weird, and definitely wonderful - you want to stop looking but you have to stare to try and understand what it is. Interesting :)

  13. Ok, he/she really is weird and wonderful.. Nice job placing he/she in a cage! Cool!
